Looking for a babysitter? The Concierge can help!

Are you looking for a babysitter? As the concierge, I meet with many families.  I have found that the lack of quality, affordable and accessible babysitting is one of the major barriers to getting involved in the Jewish community.  This is a challenge and not one I take lightly.  I have brainstormed many ideas, but yet to come upon one that works well.  Did you know, however, that you can post for a babysitter on the website Jewish in St. Louis.  Go to www.jewishinstlouis.org  and click on the Careers tab and on the drop down menu click on job posting. To check out what is going on in December for families with young children, view the Concierge e-bulletin...

Shalom Baby is going Strong

In an effort to more effectively serve families with young children, effective June 1, 2013, CAJE’s Concierge for Families with Young Children will be assuming primary responsibility for the Shalom Baby Program. In this new model, Jayne Langsam, the Concierge for Families with Young Children, will be the contact for Shalom Baby visits, website maintenance, and referrals. Jayne has reached out to 10 new Shalom Baby families, since June. Many families are now signed up for PJ Library, going to new events and connecting to each other. Shalom Baby relies on the community to provide names of Jewish families who have recently experienced the birth or adoption of a new baby. A free home visit is arranged and each family receives a goody bag filled with donated items from various Jewish organizations, as well as a wealth of helpful information and resources for young families. Please report a new baby or adoption to the Shalom Baby Website. The Concierge is here to support you wherever you are along your journey....
