NCJWSTL Hot Topics Brunch

The Hot Topics Brunch is an advocacy event geared towards individuals who are tired of what they are seeing on TV and reading in the paper, and who want to take action. NCJW 5th Annual Men’s Event

Go to bat for the Back to School! Store! Join us to watch baseball, mingle with friends, bid on our auction and help kids get excited for school. A $50 donation includes beer, wine, soda and appetizers. *The Back to School! Store is a one –day event that serves over 1,500 kids. It is set up like a department store, and children are assigned an adult volunteer to help them “shop” for their back-to-school necessities, including a brand new school outfit, complete with shirt, pants, shoes, socks, underwear, winter coat, gloves, hat and a backpack filled with school supplies and a variety of personal care...

Robbie Kaplan Event

NCJW STL welcomes Robbie Kaplan to Maryville University (650 Maryville University Dr, St. Louis, MO 63141) on Thursday, December 7th. Come hear from the renowned attorney about her legendary Supreme Court case, United States v. Windsor, which resulted in the overturn of the Defense of Marriage Act and paved the way for marriage equality. Kaplan’s book, Then Comes Marriage: United States v. Windsor and the Defeat of DOMA, is a gripping, definitive account of one of our nation’s most significant civil rights victories, as well as a personal narrative of Kaplan’s struggle to find self-acceptance. The event is chaired by honorary chair, Judge Susan Block and co-chairs Carly Cooper, Allison Izsak and Sue Lapp. There is a VIP Reception beginning at 6:00 PM with the program starting at 7:00 PM and dessert reception following at 8:00 PM. Tickets start at $18 and include admission to the program and dessert reception. $36 tickets include admission to the program, dessert reception and a hardcover copy of Then Comes Marriage. $180 tickets include admission to the VIP reception, program and dessert reception and a hardcover copy of her book.
