Shibori Pillows for Passover

Craft Alliance Center of Art + Design, 6640 Delmar Blvd., St. Louis
Thursday, April 7, 7:00-9:00 pm
Registration fee: $20

The J’s Jewish Arts & Soul Project brings back local artist Randi Chervitz for a second edition of shibori dyeing at the Craft Alliance Center of Art + Design. Randi teaches wrapping and binding techniques to manipulate various shibori patterns. Using this age-old Japanese dyeing process, participants fashion pillows for reclining at the Passover table—a tradition that celebrates the luxuries afforded a free people. Seasoned artists and new students are welcome. Supplies and light refreshments will be provided.
