Feb. 22: Talk about Israel-Hamas conflict with Brig. General Meir Elran

The Department of Jewish, Islamic, and Near Eastern Languages and Cultures at Washington University has invited Brigadier General (ret.) Dr. Meir Elran to give a talk on the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas. Dr. Elran was the deputy head of the IDF’s military intelligence directorate (AMAN) during the first Palestinian Uprisings (Intifada), and was the military liaison in Israel’s peace talks with Egypt and Jordan. He is currently the head of the homeland security program at the Institute for National Security Studies in Tel Aviv.
