Tales of Streetcars Then to Now: A Jewish Seniors Lunch & Program with Historian Mark Goldfeder

January 28 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Jewish senior adults are invited to relive the street travel of yesteryear as historian Mark Goldfeder shares rare film footage of St. Louis along the 485 miles of streetcar track that carried people until May of 1966. Prior to the program, enjoy a lunch of vegetable lasagna, Italian salad, Texas toast, a fruit cup, and brownies for dessert. Coffee, water, and iced tea will also be available. A gluten-free option includes GF pasta, roll, and dessert. Complimentary valet parking is available to all attendees. Lunch is $10 per person and will take place on Monday, Jan. 28, 2019, from noon to 2 p.m. at Temple Israel, 1 Rabbi Alvan D. Rubin Dr., 63141. Reservations are required and must be made by Friday, Jan. 18. Please call Lisa at 314-432-8050 ext. 204 with your attendees’ names, phone numbers, and if they would like a gluten-free meal.

This seniors lunch and program is a collaboration of congregations Temple Emanuel, Shaare Emeth, Temple Israel and United Hebrew and is made possible through a grant from the Nathan Kahn-Ernestine Kahn-Charles Kahn Foundation of Congregation Temple Israel and by the Women’s Auxiliary Foundation for Jewish Aged.
