NCJWSTL Lunch & Learn: The Opioid Crisis

February 18 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

According to the Center for Disease Control, approximately 215 Americans die daily from an opioid overdose. This crisis has hit Missouri especially hard, and racial disparities are especially acute.

The National Council of Jewish Women St. Louis is excited to welcome Sabrina Davis, E.D. founder of WalknFaith, a faith-based substance abuse treatment center for our February Lunch and Learn. Davis is a Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience in Community Health, Mental Health, and Substance Abuse Treatment. She holds her Master’s Degree in Executive Leadership & Management. Her commitment to advocacy for individuals diagnosed with Opiate Use Disorder has led her to open WalkNFaith in one of the highest crime and impoverished communities in Saint Louis City. To ensure individuals in rural and low-income communities have access to quality substance abuse & mental health treatment, she has acquired the only substance abuse mobile clinic van in Saint Louis city. She has become the voice of those who are suffering from health and racial disparities.
