Hiding in My Pajamas: A Professional Woman’s Journey to a Financially and Emotionally Healthy Retirement – Becky Kueker

February 3 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

When Becky was 69 years old she decided to retire from a 20-year career as a partner in a successful woman owned commercial architecture firm in St. Louis. Her retirement was part of a long-term plan for which she and her husband had carefully and thoughtfully prepared. They had saved, invested, researched and even planned their retirement. What Becky realized after she had retired was that in all her careful planning she had not prepared for the emotional aspect of retirement, which explains the impulse she felt to hide in her pajamas. As one synopsis of her book has noted: “This debut memoir by a talented new writer breaks all the rules… Finally someone has published a brutally candid look at a 25-year plan to retirement from a woman’s perspective that resonates with honesty. Don’t miss this one.”
