Alice Handelman

Alice Handelman, an award-winning journalist and board member of the St. Louis Jewish Light, was recently honored as a 35-year member of National Federation of Press Women.

A former member of the Women’s Connection Board of Jewish Federation and a Lion of Judah, Handelman was also recently was honored by Marquis Who’s Who with the prestigious 2018 Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement award. The former Director of Community Relations at Jewish Center for Aged and writer for the St. Louis Blues, she is a contributing writer and columnist for Ladue News. She is a past president of Women of Achievement, St. Louis Press Club, and Aging Ahead Foundation.

A graduate of the Missouri School of Journalism, she is a member of the St. Louis Forum, Barnes-Jewish Hospital Auxiliary, and a board member of Craft Alliance, Washington University’s Women’s Society, and St. Louis Press Club.
