Keshet is our pluralistic association of Jewish lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning and allied (GLBTQA) students. This group encourages awareness of issues, inspires advocacy, builds community alliances, and creates a comfortable social atmosphere for GLBTQA students. Keshet promotes full religious and social equality for Jews of all sexual orientations and gender identities. Keshet is a Washington U. Jewish Student Union group advised by Hillel staff.

GESHERCITY - QUEER JEWS CLUSTER

A cluster for queer Jews, friends and allies. Some of the things we will do are screenings of movies with queer and Jewish themes;  social events like happy hours; queer Shabbat dinners and discussions of gender and sexuality issues within Judaism.


CONGREGATION SHAARE EMETH

Shaare Emeth sponsors GLBT events throughout the year.  Our Keshet group promotes the inclusion of homosexual Jews and their partners in the Shaare Emeth community, and provides support for friends and family of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered Jews.

Shir Hadash values equality, participation, and inclusiveness. We meet every Shabbat at 9:45am at 6300 Forsyth Blvd. We hold a wide variety of educational and holiday activities with a consistent commitment to democratic decision making, openness to the differences within Judaism that make Judaism a great religion, and a willingness to try new things. The Reconstructionist Rabbinical College was the first rabbinical seminary to ordain openly gay and lesbian rabbis.

'Nazi Persecution of Homosexuals 1933-1945,” an exhibit of reproductions of photographs, lithographs and articles that documented persecution of homosexuals during the Nazi regime, was featured at the St. Louis Holocaust Museum and Learning Center in the Jewish Federation Kopolow Building.
