The St. Louis Jewish Film Festival is pleased to announce a special Jewish Community screening of the new giant-screen film Jerusalem on Tuesday, October 1st at 7:00pm, at the Saint Louis Science Center. The screening will be introduced by the film’s director, Daniel Ferguson, who will also answer questions at the conclusion of the film.

JERUSALEM seeks to increase public understanding and appreciation for the city’s historical, spiritual, cultural and artistic uniqueness, as well as highlighting some of the intersections between Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Nearly everyone approaches this crossroads of the world in a different way and with different expectations. The film seeks to do this in an inclusive way, across political, academic and religious lines. Through the unrivaled beauty and visceral nature of the IMAX® film format, further enhanced by special access to the Holy sites and little-known parts of the city, audiences will be inspired to reconsider their assumptions about this vital part of the world. The goal is to enable everyone, whether knowledgeable or simply curious about Jerusalem to discover something new and exciting about the city.

The J’s St. Louis Jewish Film Festival worked closely with the Science Center to create a special, private screening of the film for the Jewish Community in the year of Israel’s 65th birthday. Tickets are just $8 for students and $10 for adults. Parking is free. The screening will be followed by birthday cake for Israel. To order tickets in advance, go to brownpapertickets.com or call 314-442-3179. The program is funded in part by the Lubin- Green Foundation, a supporting Foundation of the St. Louis Jewish Federation.

We’ve missed the October 1 showing. Will it be shown again? We would love to have a second chance!
