Lunch and Learn with Howard Schwartz: How the Ari Created a Myth and Transformed Judaism

November 23, 2013 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

| Free

Kol Rinah’s Adult Education Committee presents a weekend of Jewish legends and storytelling, November 22-23.  On November 23, join us for Shabbat and a delicious Kiddish lunch, followed by a learning session with award winning author Howard Schwartz.  The topic: “How the Ari Created a Myth and Transformed Judaism” explores tikkun olam, and how this concept is rooted in the last great myth infused into Jewish tradition, the creation of the renowned 16th-century Jewish mystic, Rabbi Isaac Luria of Safed, known as the Ari. The event will be held at Kol Rinah, 829 N. Hanley Rd. and is free of charge. For more information visit www.kolrinahstl.org or call 314-727-1747.
